Waiting On WEdNesDaY

Waiting on WEdNesDaY (see what I did there?) is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

Kill the beast. Win the girl.

A strange beast stirs fear in the kingdom of Lochlanach, terrorizing towns with its brutality and hunger. In an act of desperation, a proclamation is sent to all of Eurona—kill the creature and win the ultimate prize: the daughter of King Lochson’s hand in marriage.

Princess Aerity understands her duty to the kingdom though it pains her to imagine marrying a stranger. It would be foolish to set her sights on any particular man in the great hunt, but when a brooding local hunter, Paxton Seabolt, catches her attention, there’s no denying the unspoken lure between them…or his mysterious resentment.

Paxton is not keen on marriage. Nor does he care much for spoiled royals and their arcane laws. He’s determined to keep his focus on the task at hand—ridding the kingdom of the beast and protecting his family—yet Princess Aerity continues to challenge his notions with her unpredictability and charm. But as past secrets collide with present desires, dire choices threaten everything Paxton holds dear.

Inspired by the Grimm Brothers’ tale, “The Singing Bone,” New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins delivers a dark fantasy filled with rugged hunters, romantic tension, outlawed magic, and a princess willing to risk all to save her people.

Release date is March 8th 2016

------------------------------

To be perfectly honest, just reading the synopsis on this book is doesn't sound like my kind of book BUT (!!!!) it's by Wendy Higgins who I've recently discovered and I LOVED reading her Sweet Trilogy! So of course this is on my list!

Let me know what you're waiting for in the comments!

Until next time,
Ginger

Here is my selection for the week:

What if the person you were falling for was a total mystery?

While Lily is spacing out in Chemistry one day, she picks up her pencil and scribbles a line from one of her favorite songs on the desk. The next day, someone else has written back to her on the desk! Soon enough Lily and the mystery student are exchanging notes, and lyrics, and even sharing secrets. When Lily finds out that her anonymous pen pal is a guy, she's flustered -- and kind of feels like she's falling for him. She and her best friend set out to unravel the identity of the letter writer -- but when the truth is revealed, the guy is the LAST person Lily could have ever imagined it to be. Now that Lily knows the truth, can she untangle her feelings and gather the courage to listen to her heart?

From beloved author Kasie West (The Distance Between Us) comes an utterly charming story about mixed messages, missed connections, and the magic of good old-fashioned secret admirer notes.

Release Date: July 26th 2016

-------------------------------

I'm a HUGE fan of Kasie West so I'm really excited to get a copy of this book! She's quickly becoming one of my favorite contemporary writers and I'm sure I'll love this book!

Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

Big and sweeping, spanning the refined palaces of Osfrid to the gold dust and untamed forests of Adoria, The Glittering Court tells the story of Adelaide, an Osfridian countess who poses as her servant to escape an arranged marriage and start a new life in Adoria, the New World. But to do that, she must join the Glittering Court.

Both a school and a business venture, the Glittering Court is designed to transform impoverished girls into upper-class ladies who appear destined for powerful and wealthy marriages in the New World. Adelaide naturally excels in her training and even makes a few friends: the fiery former laundress Tamsin and the beautiful Sirminican refugee Mira. She manages to keep her true identity hidden from all but one: the intriguing Cedric Thorn, son of the wealthy proprietor of the Glittering Court.

When Adelaide discovers that Cedric is hiding a dangerous secret of his own, together, they hatch a scheme to make the best of Adelaide’s deception. Complications soon arise—first, as they cross the treacherous seas from Osfrid to Adoria, and later, when Adelaide catches the attention of a powerful governor.

But no complication will prove quite as daunting as the potent attraction simmering between Adelaide and Cedric. An attraction that, if acted on, would scandalize the Glittering Court and make them both outcasts in wild, vastly uncharted lands. . . .

Release date: April 5th

--------------------------

The reason I picked this book was because I couldn't stop looking at the cover! It is BEAUTIFUL! Shockingly enough I haven't ever read a Richelle Mead book... Please don't hate me! But I do have The Vampire Academy on my TBR for this year... summer maybe? And once I read/finish that I'm thinking I'll need this book! I went to one of her signing's last year and I need to read at least one of her books before she comes back this year!

Let me know if you've adding this one to your TBR or what you're waiting for this Wednesday!

Until next time,
Ginger

Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

Taken from Goodreads:
In the follow-up to Abbi Glines’s #1 New York Times bestseller Until Friday Night—which bestselling author Kami Garcia called “tender, honest, and achingly real”—three teens from a small southern town are stuck in a dramatic love triangle.

Willa can’t erase the bad decisions of her past that led her down the path she’s on now. But she can fight for forgiveness from her family. And she can protect herself by refusing to let anyone else get close to her.

High school quarterback and town golden boy Brady used to be the best of friends with Willa—she even had a crush on him when they were kids. But that’s all changed now: her life choices have made her a different person from the girl he used to know.

Gunner used to be friends with Willa and Brady, too. He too is larger than life and a high school football star—not to mention that his family basically owns the town of Lawton. He loves his life, and doesn’t care about anyone except himself. But Willa is the exception—and he understands the girl she’s become in a way no one else can.

As secrets come to light and hearts are broken, these former childhood friends must face the truth about growing up and falling in love…even if it means losing each other forever.

Release date is: August 23rd 2016

---------------------------------

I don't usually do W.O.W for books so far in advance but I'm really excited for this book and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! The first book in this series was actually my introduction to Abbi's writing and I loved everything about it!

I know she has a TON of other books out there and I'm slowly but surely adding them to my collection but this one is top priority!

Until next time,
Ginger

Taken from Amazon:

The electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggle between the growing rebel army and the blood-segregated world they've always known—and pits Mare against the darkness that has grown in her soul.
Mare Barrow's blood is red—the color of common folk—but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control. Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors. Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?

Release date is February 9th 2016

I've pretty much been counting down the days until I could get my hands on this book since I finished the first book in the series (The Red Queen). I am such a giant fan of Victoria's writing and her story and her characters that I honestly don't know how I'm going to deal once I finish Glass Sword and have to, yet again, wait 12+ months for more.

If you haven't read the previous book I HIGHLY  recommend it and I will definitely be picking this up the day it comes out!

Feel free to leave a link to your WOW below so  I can check it out!

Until next time,
Ginger

Waiting On Wednesday

 Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

Chelsea thought she knew what being a rock star was like . . . until she became one. After losing a TV talent show, she slid back into small-town anonymity. But one phone call changed everything

Now she’s the lead singer of the band Melbourne, performing in sold-out clubs every night and living on a bus with three gorgeous and talented guys. The bummer is that the band barely tolerates her. And when teen hearthrob Lucas Rivers take an interest in her, Chelsea is suddenly famous, bringing Melbourne to the next level—not that they’re happy about that. Her feelings for Beckett, Melbourne’s bassist, are making life even more complicated.

Chelsea only has the summer tour to make the band—and their fans—love her. If she doesn’t, she’ll be back in Michigan for senior year, dying a slow death. The paparazzi, the haters, the grueling schedule . . . Chelsea believed she could handle it. But what if she can’t?

-------------------------

I honestly hadn't heard of this book until I went looking for a new upcoming release for this post, but the second I saw the cover I knew I needed to at it to my TBR. It instantly reminded me of "This Song Will Save Your Life" and coincidentally Leila Sales is already praising it!

I can't wait to get my hands on this one!

Until next time,

Waiting On Wednesday "Tonight The Streets Are Ours"

 Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

Recklessly loyal. That's how seventeen-year-old Arden Huntley has always thought of herself. Taking care of her loved ones is what gives Arden purpose in her life and makes her feel like she matters. But lately she's grown resentful of everyone--including her needy best friend and her absent mom--taking her loyalty for granted.
Then Arden stumbles upon a website called Tonight the Streets Are Ours, the musings of a young New York City writer named Peter, who gives voice to feelings that Arden has never known how to express. He seems to get her in a way that no one else does, and he hasn't even met her.
Until Arden sets out on a road trip to find him.

During one crazy night out in New York City filled with parties, dancing, and music--the type of night when anything can happen, and nearly everything does--Arden discovers that Peter isn't exactly who she thought he was. And maybe she isn't exactly who she thought she was, either.

----------------------------------------------------

This isn't really a shocking pick for me because I LOVED Leila's previous book, "This Song Will Save Your Life". I'm dying to get my hands on this one and I know I'll love it just as much as her last book!

Release date is September 15th 2015

Until next time,

Here is my selection for the week:

So I am IN LOVE with this series, I've read the first two and for some reason just haven't gotten around to reading the third yet... But I'm kind of glad I waited because this BEAUTIFUL book comes out September 29th 2015 and if I can wait just a little bit longer to read Queen of Zombie Hearts then I can marathon these two.

I'm not putting up a synopsis because I don't want to spoil myself but if you haven't picked up this series yet what are you waiting for?

It's an amazing series with kick ass characters, spooky, original 'zombies' and those covers... All of the covers are too die for!

Waiting On Wednesday - Alive

 Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

“I open my eyes to darkness. Total darkness. I hear my own breathing, but nothing else. I lift my head . . . it thumps against something solid and unmoving. There is a board right in front of my face. No, not a board . . . a lid.”

A teenage girl awakens to find herself trapped in a coffin. She has no idea who she is, where she is, or how she got there. Fighting her way free brings little relief—she discovers only a room lined with caskets and a handful of equally mystified survivors. Beyond their room lies a corridor filled with bones and dust, but no people . . . and no answers.

She knows only one thing about herself—her name, M. Savage, which was engraved on the foot of her coffin—yet she finds herself in charge. She is not the biggest among them, or the boldest, but for some reason the others trust her. Now, if they’re to have any chance, she must get them to trust one another.

Whatever the truth is, she is determined to find it and confront it. If she has to lead, she will make sure they survive. Maybe there’s a way out, a rational explanation, and a fighting chance against the dangers to come. Or maybe a reality they cannot comprehend lies just beyond the next turn.

Release date is July 14th 2015

I've heard alot about this book, especially on BookTube so I'm really excited to pick this one up!

Waiting On Wednesday

 Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

When Lexi Shaw seduced Oakfield High's resident bad boy Tyler Flynn at the beginning of senior year, he seemed perfectly okay with her rules:
1. Avoid her at school.
2. Keep his mouth shut about what they do together.
3. Never tease her about her friend (and unrequited crush) Ben.
Because with his integrity and values and golden boy looks, Ben can never find out about what she’s been doing behind closed doors with Tyler. Or that her mom’s too busy drinking and chasing losers to pay the bills. Or that Lexi’s dad hasn’t been a part of her life for the last thirteen years. But with Tyler suddenly breaking the rules, Ben asking her out, and her dad back in the picture, how long will she be able to go on faking perfect?
-----------------------------------------
If you read my post yesterday I'm sure you weren't surprised to see that this my selection for this week WOW. I'm really excited about this book and I can't wait for it to come out! Also while writing this post I realized that Huntley Fitzpatrick blurbed the front cover and that only fueled the fire!
Let me know what books you're looking forward to in the comments!

Waiting On Wednesday

 Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

Wilhelmina has a hundred enemies.

HER FRIENDS HAVE TURNED. After her identity is revealed during the Inundation, Princess Wilhelmina is kept prisoner by the Indigo Kingdom, with the Ospreys lost somewhere in the devastated city. When the Ospreys’ leader emerges at the worst possible moment, leaving Wil’s biggest ally on his deathbed, she must become Black Knife to set things right.

HER MAGIC IS UNCONTROLLABLE. Wil’s power is to animate, not to give true life, but in the wraithland she commanded a cloud of wraith mist to save herself, and later ordered it solid. Now there is a living boy made of wraith—destructive and deadly, and willing to do anything for her.

HER HEART IS TORN. Though she’s ready for her crown, declaring herself queen means war. Caught between what she wants and what is right, Wilhelmina realizes the throne might not even matter. Everyone thought the wraith was years off, but already it’s destroying Indigo Kingdom villages. If she can’t protect both kingdoms, soon there won’t be a land to rule.

In this stunning conclusion to THE ORPHAN QUEEN, Jodi Meadows follows Wilhelmina’s breathtaking and brave journey from orphaned criminal on the streets to magic-wielding queen.

-------------------------------------------------------

I realize that this doesn't come out until next year but because the novella was released yesterday I've had "The Mirror King" on my mind all week.

I need this book in my life asap!!!!

What books are you dying to get this week?

Until next time,

Waiting On Wednesday "Who Says Opposites Don't Attract?"

 Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

Who says opposites don't attract?
It's been several years since Carly Vega's parents were deported. Carly lives with her older brother, studies hard, and works the graveyard shift at a convenience store to earn enough to bring her parents back from Mexico.
Arden Moss used to be the star quarterback at school. He used to date popular blondes and have fun pranking with his older sister. But now all that's changed, and Arden needs a new accomplice. Especially one his father, the town sheriff, will disapprove.
All Carly wants, at first, is to stay under the radar and do what her family expects. All Arden wants is to not do what his family expects. When their paths cross, they each realize they've been living according to the wishes of others. Carly and Arden's journey toward their true hearts - and one another-- is funny, romantic, and sometimes harsh. Just like real life.
Release date is June 2nd 2015
-------------------------------
I'm excited for this book for multiple reasons but the top one being Anna Banks is going to be doing a signing along with a couple other Epic Reads authors next week at my local bookstore!
I haven't read her previous series but I'm tempted to buy it so I can get them all signed. Let me know in the comments if you've read it. I think it may be about mermaids?!
Until next time,
Ginger

I'm really excited for this book but I'm not including a summary because it's a sequel and I haven't read the first book yet.

Crazy I know but I've heard so many good things about The Murder Complex and I put it off for so long I figured I might at well wait for this one to come out and marathon the two of them.

Waiting On Wednesday

 Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here is my selection for the week:

From Sara Shepard, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling Pretty Little Liars series, comes the shocking sequel to The Perfectionists—with an ending you'll have to read to believe!
Mackenzie, Ava, Caitlin, Julie, and Parker have done some not-so-perfect things. Even though they all talked about killing rich bully Nolan Hotchkiss, they didn't actually go through with it. It's just a coincidence that Nolan died in exactly the way they planned . . . right? Except Nolan wasn't the only one they fantasized about killing. When someone else they named dies, the girls wonder if they're being framed. Or are they about to become the killer's next targets?
---------------------
I read the first book in this series last year when I was sent an ARC and I was praying I would get one of "The Good Girls" but it looks like I have to wait for it to be released just like everyone else.
I feel like this series is going to become one of my guilty pleasures. I flew through the first book (which going into it I thought was a standalone!) and even though it's VERY similar to Pretty Little Liars sometimes you just need that completely unrealistic read to get you through a Monday afternoon.
The release date is June 2nd.
Until next time,
Ginger
