Top 10 Songs I Wish Were Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish where each week there is a new topic for a top ten list.

This week is 10 Songs I Wish Were Books!

I love this topic! If you know me then you know I can't go two minutes without listening to music, I hate silence and my very overused ipod can attest to that!

So here are my top 10 songs that I wish had books to accompany them!

1. Brooklyn Bridge By Lee DeWyze

This song is beautiful and I feel like a book based on this song would just be gorgeous!

2. Remembering Sunday By All Time Low

I feel like this book would just be heartbreaking but I WANT IT!

3. Car Crash By Wakey Wakey

Are we sensing a theme yet? Can you tell I love gut wrenching songs?

4. Awakening By Yellowcard

I've listened to this song over 600 times in the past two years... Crazy, but its one of my all time favorites and a book would be spectacular!

5. Drops Of Jupiter By Train

A magic realism book based on this song?! Just take my money!

6. Finest Hour By Gavin Degraw

A book about a crazy night in New York with a stranger, whose name you don't even get, but it turns into the best night of your life? SOLD!

7. Indiana By Jon Mclaughlin

A book about a guy whose glad that the girl he's in love with never loved him back because missing her would be too much... I'm thinking a box of tissues would be needed for a book based off of this song.

8. Kiss The Rain By Thriving Ivory

Now I know Billie Myers sang this first but I actually like the Thriving Ivory version better. Anyway I think this would make an awesome SciFi or even Fantasy book. Maybe about someone who could control the weather and use it to see their loved one?

9. You're Beautiful By James Blunt

A boy falls in love with a girl on the subway and goes back everyday to try and meet her? Please! Someone write this!

10. 18th Floor Balcony By Blue October

I LOVE this song, especially lately, I've been listening to it like crazy! I don't even know what this hypothetical book would be about but I do know I need it in my life!

And there you have it! Let me know which songs were your favorite and PLEASE link your TTT so I can check it out and add some more songs to my playlists!

Until next time,
Ginger

Top 10 Books To Snuggle Up With On V-Day

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish where each week there is a new topic for a top ten list.

This week is a Valentine's Day Freebie so  I chose: "Top 'Ten' Books To Read On Single's Awareness Day!"

1. My Life Next Door/The Boy Most Likely To

I'm counting these as 1 on my list because you can't read one without the other, but if you're trapped someplace cold this Valentines Day why not snuggle up with Tim Mason or Jase Garrett?

2. To All The Boys I've Loved Before/P.S. I Still Love You

Two more that need to be read together! Lara Jean is adorable and these are the perfect books for a night in on Vday!

3. The Duff

Two words: Wesley Rush. Two more words: Robbie Amell. Why not have yourself a Duff marathon? Read the book and then pop in the movie and watch Robbie Amell take off his shirt!

4. Anna and The French Kiss

If you'd rather pretend like you're not sitting at home in your pjs at 9pm on a Friday night, why not pick up Anna and jet off to the City of Love? This book is adorable and the setting is spectacular!

5. Since You've Been Gone

Frank Porter, will you be my Valentine?... No seriously, will you?
I dare you to read this book and not love it! It's one of my all time favorite contemporaries and the perfect book to brighten up this dreary February!

6. On The Fence

If you're more of a tomboy and you'd rather watch football while wearing your favorite players jersey then getting dressed up and going to a fancy restaurant then this book is for you! It's the perfect blend of cute, romantic and real.

The last three I'm mentioning are all NA.

7. Ugly Love

Fair warning: this book will make you ugly cry! But it is so worth it! If you haven't seen the actor who they have cast to play Miles yet then I HIGHLY suggest googling him asap! (Nick Batman) (You're welcome)

8. Play Of Light

Another tear jerker read but again well worth it. Debra's writing is so unbelievably beautiful that it takes your breath away.
This one is set on Cape Cod and is the perfect read to warm up your February!

9. Stupid Girl

This is the first ARC I was ever sent (nearly two years ago) and I can still remember almost everything about this book!
If you're in the mood for a 'bad boy' (with a Boston accent!) falls for 'good girl' romance then this is for you!

Let me know what book you'll be reading this Valentines Day and I'll talk to you soon!

Until next time,
Ginger

My 2016 Resolutions (In GIF's)

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish where each week there is a new topic for a top ten list.

This week is "Top Ten Resolutions For 2016"

1. I NEED to finish the Immortal Instruments series ASAP! The tv show debuts in a week and I'm still... Three books behind...

2. Speaking of reading books I've had for years but still haven't read... My TBR shelf has turned into a TBR bookcase. I need to read the books I have before getting more.

3.No not really! But I'm sure as hell going to try to read twice as fast. Thus cutting my TBR in half while being able to buy all the pretty new books! *Side note a brand new used bookstore just opened up a block from where I work (If I ever go missing, you know where to find me!)*

4. I need, need, NEED to review books right after I read them. I fell so far behind this past year that there's no way I can remember enough about the books I read to review them. It's like I sit down to write a review about a book I read 7 days ago and I can't remember the main characters name let alone the plot lines.

5. I want to request some physical arcs. I've been blogging for a year and a half and I need to work up the nerve to send out some emails. It shouldn't be this hard and yet I hide behind NG and EW.

6. I need to re-read some old favorites- and not feel bad about it! There are so many great books coming out this year and there isn't enough time to read all of them but there are still some old favorites that I'd like to pick up again without feeling guilty about all my new 2016 books watching me read a book I've already read 5 times.

7. I want to start writing. Everyday. Whether it's in a journal or working on my book. I always feel better when I'm writing, even just posting this is like stretching a muscle. Hopefully I can block out a little time each day to write.

8. I need to read AND comment on other blogs! I get so caught up binge reading others blog posts that I never leave a comment. Some of my favorite bloggers don't even know who I am. I need to be better about saying 'Hi' and reaching out to other people in the community.

9. Same on twitter. I spend WAY to much time on twitter and yet I don't talk to/have a ton of friends. I hate 'butting' into conversations even if it's something I'm interested in talking about (books, tv shows, Star Wars, Ryan Gosling). I always feel super awkward jumping in like...

10. And last but not least is a resolution I've already started working on. Planning/Blogging ahead! I'm actually writing this on December 21st. (Hello from the past!) I love blogging and I love having a couple posts go up a week but I'm awful about 'being in the mood' to blog. I can go days without feeling like blogging but if I can plan ahead and do a couple posts each day I feel like blogging then I won't fall so far behind.

So please leave a comment below with your TTT so I can leave an awkward comment on your blog and secretly stalk you on twitter!

Kidding.

But really, let me know what your blogging resolutions are and I hope you all had a great New Year!

Until next time,
Ginger

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish where each week there is a new topic for a top ten list.

This week is "Top Ten Spooky-Ish YA Books"

Usually I do these lists in no particular order but #1. on my list is my all time favorite spooky read. #2.- #10 are still random.

Full Tilt scared me when I first read it years and years ago and to this day still gives me the creeps but I LOVE IT! If you're looking for a good book to read this Halloween, this is it!

And if you're still looking for a good spine tingling read, here are 9 more to add to your list!

Feel free to link your TTT below or just leave a comment with your favorite book to read this time of year!

Top Ten Of My Auto-Buy Authors

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke And The Bookish where each week there is a new topic for a top ten list.

This week is "Top Ten Of My Auto-Buy Authors"

1. Nicholas Sparks. His new book is coming out in October and. I. Need. It!

2. Ann Brashares. I cannot get enough of Ann's writing. I crave it!

3. Lisa McMann. All her books are intriguing, mysteries with a romantic twist. Need I say more?

4. Stephanie Perkins. Anna, Lola, Isla, I could read them 10X a day and still LOVE all of them! I need a new book from Stephanie ASAP!

5. Tracey Garvis Graves. I've read all three (or four...) of Tracey's books. Once you pick up on of her books it's impossible to set down! I'm pretty sure I finished each one of her books around 3 or 4 in the morning.

6. Jenny Han. Her books are so sweet and so adorable that you can't help but fall in love with all the characters and their stories. I still want Kitty to get her own book!!!

7. Kiersten White. This is one of my favorite books from last year. It is beautiful (both inside and out!). And of course I loved her Paranormal trilogy so I can't help but pick up her books when I see them!

8. Rob Thomas. I cannot get enough of Veronica Mars (read Logan Echolls) I need book three in my life! I'd say I'm counting down the days until I can read another one but it's impossible to do so without a release date!

9. Lauren Oliver. I love her writing style and she is such a fun person, there's no way I could walk into a bookstore and not walk out with her newest release!

10. And last but not least- Sarah Dessen. The Truth About Forever and Saint Anything are two of my favorite books and she has definitly earned herself a place on my auto-buy list!

Lemme know who your auto-buy authors are or leave me a link to your TTT so I can check out your post!

Until next time,
Ginger
